About the Role

This role involves providing respiratory care services in a hospital setting, including but not limited to adult critical care, aerosol setup, suctioning, and various ventilator management techniques.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services to patients in need
• Set up and manage ventilators and related equipment
• Perform chest physiotherapy and suctioning procedures
• Interpret and document patient data using the Epic charting system
• Assist with intubation and extubation procedures
• Manage medications and treatments as prescribed
• Participate in patient rounds and consultations
• Document patient progress and treatment outcomes accurately
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulations

Requirements

• At least 1 year of relevant experience
• Current RRT certification
• BLS certification

Qualifications

• Experience with adult critical care
• Knowledge of aerosol set up and mask/trach setup
• Proficiency in albuterol, atrovent, bag-and-mask ventilation, and other respiratory treatments
• Ability to interpret arterial blood gas results
• Experience with emergency department procedures
• Knowledge of ET tube insertion and removal
• Experience with tracheostomy care and management
• Experience with various ventilator settings and troubleshooting
