Schedule

• 13-week assignment
• Night shift: 3 × 12-hour shifts (18:00 – 06:30)

Responsibilities & Skills

• Adult Critical Care
• Aerosol set up (mask and trach)
• Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, Flovent, Perforomist, Pulmicort, Spiriva, Xopenex
• ARDS, COVID, Cystic fibrosis, Pneumonia, Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV)
• Arterial punctures and interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs)
• Assist in high-risk delivery
• Bag-and-mask ventilation
• Basic EKG
• BiPAP, CPAP, Bubble CPAP, CPAP/Nasal CPAP/BiPAP
• Bronchoscopy assistance
• Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia, Transient Tachypnea of the newborn, Respiratory distress syndrome
• Bicarbonate, Lidocaine, Mucomyst, Racemic epinephrine, Terbutaline Sulfate, Theophylline, Tobramycin
• Chest Physiotherapy (including Vest)
• Drawing arterial blood gases
• Emergency Department experience
• ET Tube management (extubation, suctioning, troubleshooting high-pressure alarms)
• Fresh tracheostomy care/management
• Hand-held nebulizers and Metered Dose Inhalers (MDI)
• Heated and High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
• Inhaled Flolan, inhaled steroids
• Intubation assistance
• Management/lead experience
• Nasal airway placement and suctioning
• Near drowning cases
• Nitric Oxide (INO)
• Oral airway placement and suctioning
• Oscillating Ventilator
• Oxygen tanks
• Patient transport (inter-departmental and ambulance)
• Pediatrics
• Pressure/Volume Ventilator, SIMV (Synchronized Intermittent Mandatory Ventilation), IMV/SIMV
• Spirometry
• Sputum specimen collection
• Suctioning (ETT, NT)
• Trach collar management
• Weaning from mechanical ventilation

Requirements

• 1 year of experience
• Active certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, RRT
