About the role

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a night shift position at a Level III Trauma Center teaching hospital, requiring 2+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Work night shifts: 3×12‑hour shifts from 18:00 to 06:00
• Average 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required, with holiday coverage as needed
• Float within scope to meet facility needs or between like units
• Provide respiratory therapy to both pediatric and adult patients in ICU settings
• No on‑call requirements
• Document care using the Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active state or Compact RRT license
• Minimum 2 years of applicable Respiratory Therapy experience
• No background or license actions within the past 12 months
• Provide SSN and date of birth for consideration
• Wear solid black or black‑and‑white scrubs
• Complete onboarding modules (approximately 4‑10 hours) prior to start date
• Maximum of 4 days of RTO permitted; no holiday RTO accepted
• Former employees must be separated from the facility for at least one year before returning as a traveler
