Job Details
- Shift: 12H Nights
- Total Weekly Hours: 36
Required Experience and Certifications
- 2 years of Stepdown experience
- Current RN License (either eligible for licensure in the state of Missouri or currently licensed in Missouri)
- BLS and ACLS certifications (from AHA only)
Preferred Certifications and Experience
- Prior Stepdown or ICU experience preferred
- Additional skills such as post-op care, Bipap, and Cardiac gtt preferred

Licensure
- Current RN License required (meets the criteria to be eligible for licensure in the state of Missouri or currently licensed in Missouri)
Roles and Responsibilities
- Direct patient care activities for post-trauma, surgical interventions, and medical comorbidities
- Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with established guidelines of nursing practice
- Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care
- Maintains professional accountability and coordinates patient care with other departments
- Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information
Working Conditions
- Stand and walk most of the time on duty
- Meet unit-specific physical demands
- Bending, stooping, lifting, and turning patients with assistance
- High-risk exposure to blood and body fluids
- Physical requirements include pushing, pulling, and gripping up to 50 lbs., pinching up to 15 lbs., kneeling, crouching, and crawling minimally
