Travel RN - Rapid Response - $1,835 per week

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Critical Care Float for a travel nursing job in Richlands, Virginia. The assignment is 13 weeks, 36 hours per week, 12‑hour day shifts, travel employment type. We're looking for Medical Surgical RNs for an immediate opening; the ideal candidate should have 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience. Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and prioritize data collection based on patients' immediate conditions or needs.
• Perform ongoing assessments and provide appropriate treatments as ordered by a physician.
• Document patient findings and provide education and support to patients' families.
• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre‑ and post‑op patients.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare equipment and assist the physician during examination and treatment of the patient.
• Educate patients on surgical procedures.
• Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plans as prescribed by the physician.

Requirements

• BLS certification.
• 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience (approximately 1.5 years).
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty.
• Capable of lifting 20 pounds routinely; moving/lifting patients may require up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with patients who may be confused, agitated, or unco
