Certification Details
- BLS (Must be AHA)
- ACLS (Must be AHA)
- Current nursing license verified through Nursys within 30 days prior to start.
- Completion of Ascension Pharmacology Exam and Medical Surgical Exam with minimum 80% score prior to start, updated every 3 years.
- Completion of Ascension Core Competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission, NPSG, OSHA topics within a year of start, updated every 3 years.
- Completion of Ascension EKG Exam with minimum 80% score prior to start, updated every 3 years.
- Documentation of required immunizations and health screenings including MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, Influenza Vaccine (optional), Fit Test, Positive PPD or IGRA with chest X-ray if applicable, and Health Statement updated annually.
- Verification of education relevant to clinical work within 90 days of start.
- Third-party employment verification for past seven years, updated annually.
- Shift: 19:00 - 07:30 (12.5 hours)
- Bariatric Surgical Unit
- Ascension Resume required for submission.
- Signed Assignment Agreement required for onboarding.
- Ascension Badge Photo required for onboarding.
- Ascension Onboarding Requirements Education Attestation and Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding required.
- Ascension Unit Specific Checklist optional for onboarding but needs to be uploaded by unit leader within a week.
