About the role
Voca Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Responsibilities
- Experience in Med/Surg and Stepdown units is required.
- Charge nurse experience is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with central line care and management, Foley care and management, end of life care and management is essential.
- Knowledge of how to care for a dialysis site properly is necessary.
Requirements
- 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts, days schedule.
- Med/Surg and Stepdown experience required.
- Charge experience is a huge plus.
- Should be familiar with Central line care and management, Foley care and management, end of life care and management.
- In relation to the nephrology portion, should know how to care for a dialysis site properly (for example, not using an HD cath or attempting to access a fistula for blood draws).
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
Skills
- One year of experience.
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques and procedures.
- Ability to organize, plan, coordinate and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing techniques.
- Ability to maintain good working relationships with other employees.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors.
- Some computer skills.
