Job Details

The Medical Care Unit (MCU) is a unit with less acute patients awaiting placement to long term care facilities. Patients have a variety of medical diagnoses. The unit is shared with Inpatient Rehab; nurses may float between the two units. Inpatient Rehab is a designated unit for intense rehab services. Care is delivered using the nursing process: assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation in coordination with other health team members.

Job Requirements

• Telemetry experience preferred.
• Epic EMR experience in a like unit within the last 12 months required.
• Must have a professional nursing license verified through primary source within 30 days of start.
• Background check including SS trace and county search for last 7 years required within 30 days of start.
• Iowa Adult and Child Abuse clearance required as per state requirement.
• Education verification through third party required.
• Two professional references required, one must be from a supervisor.
• Drug screen within 30 days of start required.
• Skills checklist completed within 12 months required.
• CPR/BLS certification required for clinical positions.

Job Requirements - Additional Details

• Declination accepted for COVID-19 vaccine and some other immunizations.
• Fit test for respirators must be completed prior to start.
• GRH Evergreen Link must be completed within 48 hours of offer acceptance.
• GRH OSHA Questionnaire must be completed annually by candidate.
• Pre-Orientation CBL Acknowledgement and Epic Registration Acknowledgement Form must be uploaded after completion.

Schedule Information

Night shift from 19:00 to 07:30.

• Unit includes Medical Care Unit with less acute patients and Inpatient Rehab unit.
• Patient populations include Geriatric, Medical/Surgical, Adult, Telemetry, and Psychiatric issues.
• Telemetry experience preferred.
