TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Bluffton, Indiana. Start date: 10/19/2026; duration: 13 weeks; 36 hours per week; 12‑hour night shifts. Employment type: travel. The position requires 1‑2 years recent acute care experience. Job ID: 1460684.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and prioritize data collection based on patients' immediate conditions or needs.
• Perform ongoing assessments and provide appropriate treatments as ordered by a physician.
• Document patient findings and provide education and support to patients' families.
• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre‑ and post‑op patients.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare equipment and aid physician during examination and treatment of patient.
• Educate patients on surgical procedures.
• Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plan as prescribed by physician.

Requirements

• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• 1‑2 years recent acute care experience (Med Surg/Telemetry)
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean and stoop without difficulty.
• Ability to lift 20 lb routinely; patient handling may require lifting up to 50 lb.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with confused, agitated, and/or uncooperative patients.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
