About the role

Long-term care nurses provide extended care to patients living with disabilities or suffering from progressive or chronic illnesses. The specialized nurse often works with the elderly and others who need assistance with activities of daily living, such as bathing and dressing.

Responsibilities

• Record vital signs and administer medications
• Complete assignments made by physicians
• Provide routine treatment and assess changes in the patient's health status
• Perform various treatments
• Meticulous documentation of medication and treatment administration to ensure continuity of care between nursing staff, physicians, and other treatment team members

Requirements

• Active RN or LPN License
• Degree from an accredited nursing program
• BLS Certification
• Eighteen months of recent experience in a Long-Term Care setting
• Additional requirements to be determined by the client’s facility

Pay

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 48 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
