ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Reston, Virginia.

Schedule

• Duration: 13-week contract
• Hours: 36 hours per week, 12-hour night shifts (19:00 - 07:00)
• Start Date: ASAP

Job Description

The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will provide essential care for women during labor and delivery, ensuring the safety and well-being of both mothers and newborns in a fast-paced clinical setting. This position requires expertise in circulating for C-sections and managing high-acuity scenarios, as well as proficiency in IV drips including magnesium.

Responsibilities

• Assist in labor management and delivery processes, including vaginal births and C-sections
• Monitor fetal heart rates and manage maternal conditions during labor
• Administer medication and IV therapies as prescribed
• Provide postpartum care and education to new mothers
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team for optimal patient outcomes

Required Experience & Certifications

• Current RN license and BLS certification
• ACLS and NRP certifications required
• Experience in a fast-paced Labor and Delivery unit
• Previous experience in scrub and circulating roles in the OR is beneficial
