Travel Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

About the role

Provides advanced respiratory care for patients with pulmonary and critical illnesses, including assessment, treatment, and management of respiratory conditions. Collaborates with physicians to develop treatment plans, conducts diagnostic tests, administers therapies, monitors equipment, records patient progress, educates patients and families, and works within a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality care.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat patients with pulmonary and critical illnesses
• Develop and implement respiratory treatment plans in collaboration with physicians
• Conduct diagnostic tests related to respiratory care
• Administer respiratory therapies and monitor equipment
• Record and track patient progress
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care
• Work within a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality patient care

Requirements

• One year of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• NBRC credential
• Valid state license
• Current BLS certification
• Preferred certifications: ACLS or PALS
