Travel Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

About the role

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) is responsible for providing advanced respiratory care to patients with pulmonary and critical illnesses.

Responsibilities

• Assess, treat, and manage patients with respiratory conditions in collaboration with physicians and healthcare teams.
• Perform diagnostic tests, administer therapies, and monitor equipment to ensure proper oxygen delivery.
• Educate patients and families on medication use and equipment operation.
• Document patient progress and adjust treatments as needed.
• Work effectively within multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum one year of recent RRT experience and current NBRC credential.
• Valid state respiratory therapy license and BLS certification; ACLS or PALS preferred.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Physical ability to move equipment and remain stationary as needed.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and using PC systems.
• Able to handle stressful situations and work independently or with a team.
