About the role
A skilled Respiratory Therapist is needed to provide advanced respiratory care, including assessment, treatment, and management of patients with pulmonary disorders and critical illnesses. The role involves collaborating with physicians to develop treatment plans, performing diagnostic tests, administering therapies, monitoring equipment, and educating patients and families.
Responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate patients with pulmonary disorders and critical illnesses
- Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement treatment plans
- Perform diagnostic tests and administer respiratory therapies
- Monitor and maintain respiratory equipment
- Educate patients and families on respiratory care and management
- Document patient care and progress accurately
Requirements
- At least one year of recent experience as a Respiratory Therapist
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC
- Valid state license in respiratory therapy
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Qualifications
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred
