About the role
Travel Respiratory Therapist providing advanced respiratory care to patients with complex pulmonary and critical conditions.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with physicians to develop treatment plans
- Assess, treat, and monitor patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders
- Perform diagnostic tests and administer therapies such as chest physiotherapy and aerosol medications
- Set up and operate equipment to deliver appropriate oxygen therapy
- Record patient progress and educate patients and families on treatments and equipment
- Work within a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality patient care
- Perform additional duties within scope of practice as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
- One year of recent RRT experience and NBRC credential required
- Valid state licensure and current BLS certification necessary
- Preferred certifications: ACLS or PALS
- Critical thinking, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in reading, writing, PC skills, and following instructions
- Physical ability to move equipment and assist with procedures
- Ability to work under pressure, maintain concentration, and communicate effectively
