Travel Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

About the role

Seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist for a travel assignment, responsible for providing advanced respiratory care to patients with complex pulmonary and critical conditions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with physicians to develop and implement treatment plans
• Assessing and diagnosing patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders
• Performing diagnostic tests and administering treatments such as aerosol medications and chest physiotherapy
• Monitoring and adjusting equipment to ensure proper oxygen delivery
• Recording patient progress and educating patients and families on medication and equipment use
• Working with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care

Qualifications and skills required

• One year of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• NBRC RRT credential and valid state license
• Current BLS certification; ACLS or PALS preferred
• Critical thinking, strong communication, and interpersonal skills
• Physical ability to move equipment and assist patients
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and using PC tools
• Ability to work under pressure, adapt to irregular schedules, and maintain attention to detail
