About the Role
A qualified Respiratory Therapist to provide advanced respiratory care for patients with pulmonary and critical illnesses.
Responsibilities
- Collaborating with physicians to develop treatment plans
- Assessing and diagnosing patients with respiratory or cardiopulmonary disorders
- Performing diagnostic tests and administering treatments such as aerosol medications and physiotherapy
- Monitoring and adjusting respiratory equipment to ensure optimal patient care
- Documenting patient progress and educating patients and families on treatment procedures
- Working with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
Requirements
- One year of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Valid NBRC RRT credential and state license
- Current BLS certification; ACLS or PALS preferred
- Critical thinking, strong communication, and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to handle equipment and perform patient care tasks
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and follow detailed instructions
