About the role
American Traveler is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week night shift assignment in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
Responsibilities
- Works across multiple units including PICU, ED, and adult critical care
- Mixed adult and pediatric patient population
- Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
- Every other weekend requirement (Friday/Saturday)
- Procedures include blood gas analysis, ventilator/BiPAP/high flow initiation and management, code response, in-house transport, medication administration, and chest PTE
- Equipment experience with Servo I & U and V60 BiPAP
- Charting performed in Epic
Requirements
- Current RRT credential (NBRC required)
- Active NJ or Compact RN license required at time of consideration — license required if applicable
- Minimum 1.5 years of respiratory therapy experience
- BLS required
- ACLS, PALS, and NRP highly preferred; may be obtained onsite
- PICU/NICU experience highly preferred
- Two current professional references required
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- NURSYS and state license verification required
Qualifications

Pay
Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
Schedule
36 hours per week, 12 hours per shift, nights (19:00–07:30), every other weekend (Friday/Saturday).
