About the role

American Traveler is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week night shift assignment in New Brunswick, New Jersey.

Responsibilities

  • Works across multiple units including PICU, ED, and adult critical care
  • Mixed adult and pediatric patient population
  • Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
  • Every other weekend requirement (Friday/Saturday)
  • Procedures include blood gas analysis, ventilator/BiPAP/high flow initiation and management, code response, in-house transport, medication administration, and chest PTE
  • Equipment experience with Servo I & U and V60 BiPAP
  • Charting performed in Epic

Requirements

  • Current RRT credential (NBRC required)
  • Active NJ or Compact RN license required at time of consideration — license required if applicable
  • Minimum 1.5 years of respiratory therapy experience
  • BLS required
  • ACLS, PALS, and NRP highly preferred; may be obtained onsite
  • PICU/NICU experience highly preferred
  • Two current professional references required
  • SSN and DOB required for consideration
  • NURSYS and state license verification required

Qualifications

  • Current RRT credential (NBRC required)

Pay

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

36 hours per week, 12 hours per shift, nights (19:00–07:30), every other weekend (Friday/Saturday).
