Travel Respiratory Therapist Registered - NICU/Adult - $2,350 per week

About the role

Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) NICU/Adult, location unspecified. The position involves providing respiratory care for neonatal and adult patients in critical care settings. The role requires proficiency in advanced NICU procedures, ventilator management, and the ability to float across adult and neonatal intensive care units. Candidates must reside at least 100 miles away; the position may require on‑call scheduling and the ability to float across all adult and neonatal critical care areas.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostic evaluation (obtaining and analyzing physiological specimens, interpreting physiologic data, performing tests and studies of the cardiopulmonary system)
• Management of cardiopulmonary care
• Patient education
• Rehabilitation and care of patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary system
• Application of technology and use of treatment protocols across all care sites
• Application and monitoring of medical gases and environmental control systems
• Mechanical ventilatory support
• Artificial airway care
• Bronchopulmonary hygiene
• Administration of pharmacological agents related to respiratory care procedures
• Cardiopulmonary rehabilitation
• Hemodynamic cardiovascular support

Requirements

• NICU experience greater than 3 years
• Competency in high frequency ventilation
• Competency in nitric oxide
• Competency in heliox
• Competency in neonatal intubation
• Competency in neonatal ventilator management
• Competency in bubble CPAP
• Competency in heated high flow for the neonate
• Competency in neonatal arterial puncture
• Competency in delivery attendance

Qualifications

• ABG License
• RRT credentials
• ACLS certification

• Neonatal transport certification

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
