Travel Respiratory Therapist - NICU/PICU - $2,433 per week

About the role

American Traveler is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Boston, Massachusetts.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services to critically ill neonatal and pediatric patients, including ventilator management and Code Blue response
• Participation on the Code Blue team
• Work in an inpatient NICU/PICU setting at an academic Level I trauma facility
• Use Drager XL and v500 ventilators
• Make independent ventilator decisions based on patient assessment and laboratory results
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of recent experience in a Level I trauma facility with critical care experience in both NICU and PICU
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required
• Active MA Respiratory Care license required (if applicable)
• BLS certification required
• NRP certification required
• NPS and/or ACCS certification preferred
• Ability to make independent ventilator decisions based on patient assessment and laboratory results
• Candidate's permanent residence must be 30 or more miles from the facility
• Two professional references required: at least one must be from a manager-level or above, including a performance evaluation; one within the last 12 months and one within the last 3 years
