Job Description

Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs
Hours: 36 hrs/wk
Start Date: Jun 1, 2026
Length: 13 weeks

Requirements

  • Active RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) credential required
  • Current WA state respiratory therapy license required if applicable
  • Minimum 2 years of experience required; NICU experience is required
  • Adult Critical Care, ED, PICU, and Peds setting experience required
  • Experience with Draeger and Servo I ventilators required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Proficiency in ABG interpretation and basic EKG
  • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS
  • Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
  • SSN and DOB required for consideration
  • Active professional license required at time of consideration
  • Former permanent employees of any Providence-affiliated facility must be separated from the health system for a minimum of 3 months and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Skills

  • Airway management responsibilities including intubation assist, extubation, tracheostomy/suctioning, nasal and oral airway placement, and sputum specimen collection
  • Medication administration including Nitric Oxide (iNO), inhaled Flolan, racemic epinephrine, Albuterol, Atrovent, Mucomyst, Tobramycin, and other respiratory medications
  • Nebulizer types including cold, heated, handheld, ultrasonic, T-piece, and trach collar
  • Ventilator management including BiPAP, CPAP, high-frequency oscillator, flow-by, weaning, and troubleshooting high-pressure alarms
  • Epic EMR required
