Travel Respiratory Therapist - ECMO - $3,979 per week

About the role

American Traveler is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with ECMO experience for a rotating days/nights pediatric-focused role at a large-volume academic children's hospital.

Responsibilities

• Work in a high-volume pediatric and adult ECMO program at an academic children's hospital
• Primary focus on pediatric ECMO patients who are stable on ECMO
• Patient population includes congenital heart disease, congenital diaphragmatic hernias, and respiratory failure
• Pediatric patient ratio is 1:1, occasionally 1:2; adult ratio is 1:3 with remote monitoring and rounding care model
• Rotating day and night shifts (3x12-hour shifts); days run 7:00–19:00, nights run 19:00–7:00
• No call or floating required
• Epic EMR — experience required

Requirements

• Current RRT certification and BLS required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• ECMO experience required
• Prior experience at an urban or academic medical center required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Two professional references from a manager or supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration — charge RNs are not acceptable references
• Flu shot required; no exemptions accepted
• Licenses required if applicable

Pay

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
