Travel Respiratory Therapist (Cardiopulmonary) - $2,578 per week

American Traveler is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Waimea, Hawaii.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and manage life support ventilation
• Consult on ventilator weaning
• Manage endotracheal and tracheostomy tube management
• Establish airways during resuscitation
• Administer aerosol treatments
• Interpret lab and chest X-ray results
• Document all treatments and patient responses
• Provide patient and family education on respiratory therapy treatments, breathing exercises, aerosol therapy, and oxygen conservation techniques
• Support cardiopulmonary rehabilitation services including disease process education and ABG interpretation instruction
• Maintain and perform minor repairs to respiratory therapy equipment
• Uphold infection control and safety standards

Requirements

• Active Hawaii Respiratory Therapist license required (license required if applicable)
• RRT or CRT credential recognized by the National Board of Respiratory Care
• Current BLS/BCLS certification
• Minimum 5 years of respiratory therapy experience

Candidates should research housing availability on Kauai prior to applying, as options are limited.

Requires strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently in a variety of respiratory care scenarios.
