Travel Respiratory Therapist - $2,507 per week

About the role

Travel Respiratory Therapist position at Froedtert Health in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. 13-week contract, 36 hours per week, 12-hour night shifts. The Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin regional health network operates eastern Wisconsin's only academic medical center and adult Level I Trauma Center.

Responsibilities

• Therapeutic treatment and diagnostic testing using medical gases, equipment, environmental control systems, humidification, and aerosols
• Administration of medications to the cardiopulmonary system
• Ventilatory support, including maintenance and management of life support systems
• Bronchopulmonary clearance and breathing exercises
• Patient education and cardiopulmonary resuscitation
• Maintenance of natural and artificial airways
• Procedures performed in critical and non-critical care areas for patients of all ages

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in both general and critical care (2 years required for travel assignment)
• Associate Degree from a CoARC-accredited Respiratory Care program
• Current State of Wisconsin License as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP)
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) within 12 months of hire
• BLS certification
• NRP certification (required for CHD only — Froedtert West Bend Hospital or Froedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital)

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in a hospital setting providing respiratory care
• Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Care
• Membership in the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC) and Wisconsin Society for Respiratory Care (WSRC)
• ACLS certification

Travelers only: must reside at least 50 miles from the hospital location.

Schedule

12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week. 13-week contract duration. No additional travel required beyond assignment location.

Pay

Pay package based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined. Stipends available for clinical traveler workers only.
