Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare professionals in delivering patient care
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family
• Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support
• Evaluate learning needs of patient and/or family and provide age‑, culture‑, and condition‑appropriate education
• Advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient

Requirements

• Minimum one (1) year acute care experience in a hospital setting
• Degree from an accredited respiratory therapy program
• Appropriate state licensure and certifications as required for the position
• Demonstrated adherence to code of conduct and compliance policies
• Ability to communicate clearly in English (read, write, speak, understand)

Qualifications

• Allied health professionals: minimum 6 months of specialty experience
• Current BLS/CPR certification (implied by acute care requirement)
• Willingness to travel and adapt to new facility environments
