Travel Respiratory Therapist - $2,307 per week

About the role

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Pediatric Registered Respiratory Therapist (Peds-RRT) for a 13-week assignment in Kennewick, Washington. The position requires 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts. This is an immediate travel opening requiring one year of recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Administer a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities to patients
• Maintain appropriate patient records and documentation
• Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories
• Evaluate equipment for proper and safe function; report malfunctions to director
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples according to procedure guidelines
• Interact with co-workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care
• Respond to emergent situations requiring respiratory support

Requirements

• One year of recent acute care experience (requirements list also states two years)
• NBRC-RRT certification
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• PALS certification (may be required in some areas)
• NRP certification (may be required in some areas)
• Physical demands: ability to stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty; lift 20 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds for patient handling
• Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
