Travel Respiratory Therapist - $2,091 per week

About the role

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a night shift position at a Level II Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center, a short‑term acute care teaching hospital in Spokane, Washington. The role requires Washington state RRT licensure in hand and at least one year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care across ER, floor, and rapid response/code teams
• Perform floor care, ER coverage, code response, and rapid response
• Chart using Epic

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
• BLS certification (required); ACLS and PALS preferred
• Current Washington state RRT license (must be in hand at submission)
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years
• Must not have worked as a permanent Providence employee within 50 miles of the facility within the last 3 months

Skills

• Skilled in ventilator management including BiPAP, CPAP, and weaning from mechanical ventilation
• Experience with airway management including extubation, suctioning, and tracheostomy care
• Proficient in ABG interpretation and oxygen therapy
• Experience with pediatric and emergency department settings preferred

Schedule

• Night shift: 12‑hour shifts, 19:00‑07:00, 3×12 hours per week (36 hrs/wk)
• Every other weekend required; block scheduling required
• 1:11 patient ratio
