About the role

American Traveler is seeking a seasonal travel Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a NICU night shift assignment requiring active RRT licensure and NRP certification. The position is in the Respiratory Care Department supporting neonatal patients in the NICU at a facility in Denver, Colorado. Shift is nights, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, 3×12‑hour shifts per week (36 hours). Assignment starts Oct 12, 2026 and lasts 13 weeks. There are 4 openings.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to neonatal patients in the NICU.

Requirements

• Active RRT license and certification (if applicable)
• Current ACLS certification
• Current NRP certification (required for staff caring for neonates)
• Minimum 6 months of experience within the last 6 months in the specialty
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Must reside outside a 50‑mile radius of the facility (no local candidates accepted)
• Professional reference requirements: Florida and Missouri require two references; all other states require one
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
