Travel Respiratory Therapist - $1,980 per week
About the role
ARMStaffing is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a 13‑week contract in Beckley, West Virginia, starting 11/16/2026. The therapist will provide care across all age groups — geriatric, adult, and pediatric — in a critical access hospital setting, often working independently as the only RT on shift. Documentation is performed via an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
Responsibilities
- Administer respiratory therapy treatments and medications as prescribed.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, making necessary modifications to treatment plans.
- Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results to collaborate on patient care.
- Educate patients and families on respiratory care management.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss patient care strategies.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas, including respiratory therapy equipment.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in respiratory therapy, specifically in ER and critical care settings.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required.
- Current ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications mandatory prior to start.
- Must hold the required licensure to work as an RRT in West Virginia.
Schedule
- Night shift: 18:00–06:30 (12‑hour shifts)
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week
- Weekend hours required every other week
- Call requirements: as needed
Pay
Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
