Travel Respiratory Therapist - $1,643 per week

About the role

Travel Respiratory Therapist position in Ogden, Utah. Duration: 6 weeks. Schedule: 36 hours per week, 12-hour day shifts. Employment type: Travel. Requires 1 year of recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Administer to patients a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities.
• Maintain appropriate patient records/documentation.
• Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories.
• Evaluate equipment for proper and safe function; report malfunctions to director.
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze sample according to procedure guidelines.
• Interact with co-workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care.
• Respond to emergent situations that could require respiratory support.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience (2 years preferred per requirements list).
• Certifications: BLS, RRT, ACLS, NBRC, NRP, PALS (additional certifications may be required before assignment).
• Physical demands: ability to stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty; lift 20 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds when moving patients.
• Vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Pay & Schedule

Pay package based on 12-hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
