Seeking a Pediatric Registered Respiratory Therapist (Peds-RRT) for an immediate travel position. The right candidate must have 1 year of recent acute care experience. As a Peds-RRT, you will provide direct patient care to patients in a variety of clinical areas, including evaluations and treatments according to procedural guidelines.

Schedule

12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Administer to patients a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities
• Maintain appropriate patient records and documentation
• Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories
• Evaluate equipment for proper and safe function; report malfunctions to director
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples according to procedure guidelines
• Interact with co-workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care
• Respond to emergent situations requiring respiratory support

Requirements

• 1 year of recent acute care experience (posting also references 2 years in requirements list)
• NBRC-RRT certification
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• PALS certification (may be required in some areas)
• NRP certification (may be required in some areas)
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning assignment

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty
• Ability to easily lift 20 pounds; patient moving/lifting may require up to 50 pounds
• Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Pay

Pay package based on 12-hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
