About the role

American Traveler is seeking a Travel Respiratory Therapist (Registered RT/RRT) for an allied health position in Aurora, Colorado. The assignment starts ASAP (noted start date Sep 7, 2026) and lasts 13 weeks, with 36 hours per week worked on night shifts (12‑hour shifts, 3×12hrs). You will work in a hospital Respiratory Therapy department with 350 beds, where day and night shifts are staffed with 1 charge nurse and 5 staff members each, patient ratios vary, and equipment includes Hamilton G5/C1/T1, V60, and Vyair Avea ventilators. Meditech EMR is used (prior experience preferred but not required). Openings: 1.

Responsibilities

• Perform ventilator management and airway management procedures.
• Work as part of an energetic, team‑oriented staff with a strong focus on patient experience.

Requirements

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential through NBRC.
• Active state license required if applicable.
• Minimum 6 months of current acute care RRT hospital experience within the last 6 months.
• Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required.
• AHA or ARC certifications accepted; none may expire within the first 30 days of start.
• PEDS/NICU/PICU experience preferred.
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months.
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration.
• One professional reference required (two required for Florida and Missouri).
• Candidates must live outside a 50‑mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted.
