Travel Respiratory Therapist - $1,464 per week

About the role

TotalMed Allied is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for an immediate travel opening in Dickson, TN. The role involves providing direct patient care across a variety of clinical areas, including evaluations and treatments according to procedural guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Administer a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities to patients.
• Maintain appropriate patient records and documentation.
• Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories.
• Evaluate equipment for proper and safe function; report malfunctions to the director.
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples according to procedure guidelines.
• Interact with co‑workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care.
• Respond to emergent situations requiring respiratory support.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience (some areas may require 2 years).
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• PALS and NRP may be required depending on assignment.
• RRT credential required.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
• Physical demands: ability to stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty; lift 20 lbs routinely and up to 50 lbs when moving patients.
• Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
