Travel Respiratory Therapist - $1,132 per week

About the role

We're looking for Respiratory Care professionals for an immediate travel position opening in Hendersonville, TN. The right RT should have 1 year recent acute care experience. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will provide direct patient care to patients in a variety of clinical areas, including evaluations and treatments according to procedural guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Administer to patients a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities
• Maintain appropriate patient records/documentation
• Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories
• Evaluate equipment for proper and safe function; report malfunctions to director
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze sample according to procedure guidelines
• Interact with co-workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care
• Respond to emergent situations that could require respiratory support

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year recent acute care experience (2 years preferred per requirements list)
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS and NRP may be required in some areas
• RRT certification required
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment
• Physical demands: ability to stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty; lift 20 lbs routinely; move/lift patients up to 50 lbs at times
• Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Pay & schedule

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
