About the role

LanceSoft is seeking a travel Rehabilitation Therapist for a position in Fayetteville, Georgia. This is a travel assignment with the following details:

Responsibilities

  • Provide rehabilitation therapy with a focus on orthopedics, splinting (dynamic, functional, static), and conditions such as amputations, Parkinson’s disease, arthritis, and other progressive neurological disorders.
  • Assess and treat patients with upper and lower extremity conditions.
  • Perform patient/family education, plan of care, reassessments, and discharge planning.
  • Use adaptive equipment and ensure safety and injury prevention.
  • Work within the facility and float to Piedmont Fayette Outpatient as needed.
  • Chart using Epic system.

Requirements

  • GA State License
  • BLS certification
  • NBCOT certification
  • 1+ years of experience in rehabilitation therapy
  • Experience with orthopedics, splinting, amputee care, and progressive neurological disorders
  • Experience with Epic charting system
  • Preferred: Community hospital, LTAC, or adult outpatient experience

Schedule

  • 40 hours per week, 10-hour shifts during the day.
  • Preferred schedules: 5x8s (Mon/Wed: 9:45 AM–6:15 PM, Tues/Thurs/Fri: 7:30 AM–4:00 PM) or 4x10s (7:30 AM–6:00 PM).
  • Open to establishing schedules collaboratively.
  • Weekend requirement: Every other weekend unless blocked or otherwise determined.
  • No call required.
  • Floating: Within the facility and to Piedmont Fayette Outpatient as needed.

Orientation

Orientation details for 4x10s or 5x8s schedules:

  • Day 1: Mandatory NEO (New Employee Orientation), completing modules.
  • Day 2: Departmental orientation, begin shadowing full-time therapist, and complete modules.
  • Day 3: Mandatory Epic training, modules.
  • Day 4: Shadowing, additional modules.
  • Day 5 (5x8s only): Shadowing and completing modules if necessary.

Orientation hours are non-billable and factored into the contract.

Holidays

  • If 1–2 major holidays fall during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work them.
  • If 3 major holidays fall during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work 2 of them.
  • Major holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day.

Compliance

  • Full compliance is required to start on time; delays may push back the start date by 2 weeks due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule.
  • All compliance documents are due the Tuesday prior to the start date.
  • Core items/labs must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing.
  • Local candidates are accepted at the same rate.
