Travel Rehabilitation Registered Nurse - $1,729 per week
About the role
The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by ensuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees, adhering to the Select Medical Way and Core Values.
Responsibilities
- Perform a nursing assessment on all patients within 8 hours of admission to create an individualized plan of care.
- Identify teaching needs and goals related to patients' diagnoses through collaboration with patients/families and the interdisciplinary team.
- Provide patient updates in a timely manner for initial and re-evaluation team conferences.
- Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record in accordance with policy.
- Participate in the patient rehabilitation program and focus on education of patients and their families.
- Initiate discharge planning and patient education on the day of admission.
- Communicate changes in patient status to ensure continuity of care.
- Supervise and train ancillary nursing personnel, delegating responsibilities appropriately.
- Maintain safety standards for personal and environmental safety in accordance with hospital policies.
- Assume charge responsibilities as requested after the orientation period.
Requirements
- BLS Certification required prior to the first shift.
- ACLS certification required prior to the first shift (CIRH ONLY).
- Minimum two (2) years of bedside clinical experience highly desired.

Skills
Experience in rehabilitation settings, strong communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems are essential.

Pay
The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
Schedule
This position operates on a night shift, 3x12.0 schedule.
