Travel Rehab RN - $1,894 per week

About the Role

TotalMed is seeking a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse for a travel nursing opportunity in Pasco, Washington. This is a 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week on day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and prioritize data collection based on patients' immediate conditions or needs
• Perform ongoing assessments and appropriate treatments as ordered by a physician
• Document patient findings and provide education and support to patients' families
• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op patients
• Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment
• Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs
• Prepare equipment and aid physicians during examination and treatment of patients
• Educate patients on surgical procedures
• Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plans as prescribed by physicians

Requirements

• 1-2 years recent acute care experience
• BLS certification
• 1.5 years of experience minimum
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty
• Ability to easily lift 20 pounds; moving or lifting patients may require lifting up to 50 pounds at times
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment treating patients who may be confused, agitated, and/or uncooperative
