Description
Inpatient hospital setting within the Respiratory Care Services Department
Ventilatory care provided across the ED, ICU/CCU, PACU, and Level III nursery
Responsibilities include cardiopulmonary evaluation, treatment of cardiopulmonary impairment, and care of patients with deficiencies or abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary system
Attendance at high-risk C-sections and high-risk deliveries to manage neonatal airway per Neonatal Protocol
Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Every other weekend required
No on-call required
Floating within the facility per scope of practice as needed
12-week contract
Requirements
- RRT credential required; CRT not accepted
- Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
- Active professional licensure required if applicable
- Copies of certifications required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are accepted
- Travelers with prior history at any facility in this health system must have been away for a full year before returning as a traveler
- All care is provided under the supervision of a licensed physician
- Patient care decisions are based on patient assessment data and analysis of diagnostic information
- RTO maximum is 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
- Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
- No schedule change requests or alternate shift arrangements are permitted; the posted night shift is firm
- Full compliance with onboarding requirements is expected prior to the start date
