Adult Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Pediatric/NICU Experience Preferred
Assignment Duration: This is a 12-week contract position. Schedule 3x12 hour Night shifts from 18:30 to 07:00, with every other weekend required. No pre-scheduled on-call shifts.

Job Description

The Adult Respiratory Therapist (RRT) will primarily provide care in an adult setting but may be required to float and provide care in pediatric and NICU areas. Candidates should have preferred experience in pediatrics and neonatology.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize advanced respiratory therapy techniques for adult and pediatric patients.
  • Aid in high-risk deliveries and manage various respiratory conditions.
  • Conduct patient assessments and implement care plans effectively.
  • Perform procedures such as intubation assists, tracheostomy care, and bronchoscopies.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot ventilators and other respiratory equipment.

Requirements

  • Active RRT certification required; BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications also mandatory.
  • NRP preferred but not required.
  • Experience with Epic charting system is necessary.
  • Previous charge experience and a minimum of 3 years in the role are required.
  • Must be comfortable floating to support all departments as needed.

Pay package

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
