Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist - NICU - $1,993 per week

About the role

Focus Staff is seeking a travel Certified Respiratory Therapist for a NICU assignment in Greenville, South Carolina. This is a 13‑week travel contract starting 11/16/2026, with 36 hours per week on 12‑hour day shifts (3x12 schedule). As a member of the respiratory team, you will develop and ensure the patient plan of care in collaboration with physicians, registered nurses, and other therapists.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patients and recommending treatment plans
• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions
• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes
• Performing timely and accurate documentation
• Promoting continuous quality improvement
• Teaching and counseling patients and families

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Respiratory Therapist
• Current CPR or BCLS certification
• BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NALS, or NRP preferred
• Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, and families
• At least 2 years of experience

Qualifications

• Active RRT credential
• Current BCLS/CPR certification (ACLS, PALS, NALS, or NRP preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of recent respiratory therapy experience
• Strong knowledge of procedures and patient safety
• Compassionate and sensitive approach to patient care

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined. The agency notes that pay depends on location and experience and offers a very competitive package; ask your recruiter if this job qualifies as a crisis rate.
