Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist - Neuro Diagnostics - $2,859 per week

About the role

We're looking for Respiratory Care professionals for an immediate travel position opening in Charlottesville, VA. The right RT should have 1 year recent acute care experience. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will provide direct patient care to patients in a variety of clinical areas, including evaluations and treatments according to procedural guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Administer to patients a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities.
• Maintain appropriate patient records/documentation.
• Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories.
• Evaluate equipment for proper and safe function; report malfunctions to director.
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze sample according to procedure guidelines.
• Interact with co‑workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care.
• Respond to emergent situations that could require respiratory support.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience (note: posting also lists “4 Years” under requirements).
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS and NRP may be required in some areas.
• NBRC credential required.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
• Physical demands: ability to stand/walk for long periods, bend, lean, stoop; lift 20 lb routinely, up to 50 lb for patient handling; specific vision abilities (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, focus adjustment).

Schedule

12‑hour night shifts, 48 hours per week.

Pay

Pay package based on 12‑hour shifts and 48.0 hours/week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
