Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist - $3,297 per week

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Pediatric Registered Respiratory Therapist (Peds‑RRT) for an immediate 26‑week assignment in Oklahoma City, OK. The position requires 48 hours per week on 12‑hour day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in various clinical areas, including evaluations and treatments per procedural guidelines.
• Administer simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities.
• Maintain appropriate patient records and documentation.
• Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories.
• Evaluate equipment for proper and safe function; report malfunctions to the director.
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples according to procedure guidelines.
• Interact with co‑workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize the continuum of care.
• Respond to emergent situations that may require respiratory support.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience.
• NBRC‑RRT certification.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification.
• PALS and/or NRP certification may be required depending on the assignment area.
• NPS certification.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning the assignment.

Skills

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Capability to bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
• Able to lift 20 pounds routinely; moving or lifting patients may require up to 50 pounds.
• Vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
