TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Pediatric Registered Respiratory Therapist (Peds‑RRT) – an Allied Health Professional specializing in Registered Respiratory Therapy – for an immediate 13‑week assignment in Charlottesville, Virginia. The role requires 48 hours per week worked as 12‑hour night shifts. Job ID: 1477052.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including evaluations and treatments according to procedural guidelines.
• Administer a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities.
• Maintain appropriate patient records and documentation.
• Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories.
• Evaluate equipment for proper and safe function.
• Report malfunctions to the director.
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples per procedure guidelines.
• Interact with co‑workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize the continuum of care.
• Respond to emergent situations that may require respiratory support.
• Stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
• Lift up to 20 pounds routinely; moving or lifting patients may require up to 50 pounds.
