Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist - $2,702 per week

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a travel position in Manchester, New Hampshire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to patients in a variety of clinical areas, including evaluations and treatments according to procedural guidelines.
• Administer to patients a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities.
• Maintain appropriate patient records/documentation.
• Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories.
• Evaluate equipment for proper and safe function.
• Report malfunctions to director.
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze sample according to procedure guidelines.
• Interact with co-workers, nurses, physicians, other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care for patient being treated.
• Respond to emergent situations that could require respiratory support.

Requirements

• NBRC, BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience (some postings indicate 2 years required)
• Must have BLS and ACLS; PALS and NRP may be required in some areas
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment

Qualifications

• Able to stand and walk for long periods of time
• Able to bend, lean or stoop without difficulty
• Able to easily lift 20 pounds; moving or lifting patients may require lifting up to 50 pounds
• Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
