Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist - $2,667 per week

Focus Staff is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week contract assignment in Rapid City, South Dakota. The position starts November 15, 2026, with 36 hours per week on 12-hour rotating shifts (3x12). Employment type: Contract/Temporary/Travel. As a member of the Respiratory Team, you will develop and ensure the patient plan of care in collaboration with physicians, registered nurses, and other therapists, providing quality patient care during the COVID-19 crisis. Responsibilities

• Evaluating patients and recommending treatment plans
• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions
• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes
• Performing timely and accurate documentation
• Promoting continuous quality improvement
• Teaching and counseling patients and families

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
• Current CPR or BCLS certification (BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NALS, or NRP preferred)
• Proven experience as a Respiratory Therapist with phenomenal efficiency and attention to detail
• Strong knowledge of procedures and patient safety
• Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, and families
• Compassionate and sensitive approach to patient care
