About the role

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for an evening shift position within a large hospital system. The role involves respiratory therapy and neuro diagnostics duties as part of the RRT team. Weekend work is required as needed, and the traveler may float to other CCF facilities including Avon, Euclid, Fairview, Lutheran, and Pulmonary Main Campus.

Schedule

• Evening shift: 4×10-hour shifts, 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM
• 40 hours per week
• Weekend work as needed
• Travelers expected to work every other holiday
• All requested time off (RTO) must be discussed during interview and included at time of consideration

Requirements

• Active Ohio RRT license required at time of consideration
• NBRC certification required, active and in hand
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an RRT
• Minimum 1 year combined experience in the specialty for Ohio locations
• Two professional references from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty (co-worker references not accepted)
• Negative 10-panel drug screen plus nicotine (cotinine) test required within 12 months of start, updated annually
• BCI/FBI fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of signing contract
• COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• First-time travelers will not be considered
• Background check hits of any kind reviewed by facility; no license hits accepted
• Permanent and per diem candidates may not return to this facility for 1 year from their previous end date

Additional details

• Facility is smoke-free and nicotine-free with no exceptions
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Assignments may be extended up to 18 months; after 18 months a 6-month break is required unless deferred by the facility
• Pay package based on 10-hour shifts and 40 hours/week (subject to confirmation); tax-free stipend amount to be determined
