Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist - $2,360 per week
Job Summary
The Respiratory Therapist Registered will deliver comprehensive respiratory therapy services, including patient evaluations and treatment management for inpatient and outpatient populations. The role involves ensuring timely, accurate, and reliable care in accordance with department standards and protocols.
Job Details
- Schedule: Days shift with participation in every other weekend; 36 hours per week; 13-week assignment
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school for respiratory therapy
- New York State Respiratory Therapy Permit or License
- Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) as a Respiratory Therapist
- BLS (American Heart Association, HSI, or Red Cross) and ACLS Certification from American Heart Association
- Up to three (3) years of experience in critical care or NICU settings
- Experience with V60 BiPAP/980 Puritan Bennett ventilators
- Able to participate in external patient transports
Preferred Qualifications
- One (1) year experience as a Respiratory Therapist
Additional Information
- Performs a wide range of procedures including Aerosol Therapy, Oxygen Therapy, Mechanical Ventilation management, Pulmonary Function Screening, and Cardiopulmonary diagnostics
- Manages patient healthcare information systems, medication programs, and ensures safety protocols are followed
- Coordinates with medical staff for order verification, performs BLS and ACLS life support procedures, and maintains departmental records
