Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist - $2,355 per week

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a 13‑week assignment in Anchorage, Alaska. The position requires 36 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts. Responsibilities

• Administer to patients a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities.
• Maintain appropriate patient records/documentation.
• Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories.
• Evaluate equipment for proper and safe function.
• Report malfunctions to the director.
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze sample according to procedure guidelines.
• Interact with co‑workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize the continuum of care for the patient being treated.
• Respond to emergent situations that could require respiratory support.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience (some references note 2 years of experience).
• Current NBRC certification.
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS and NRP may be required in some areas.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
• Ability to lift 20 pounds routinely; up to 50 pounds when moving or lifting patients.
• Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
