Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist - $2,348 per week

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a travel position in Wausau, Wisconsin. The role starts on October 5, 2026, lasts 13 weeks, and requires 36 hours per week (12‑hour night shifts). The ideal candidate should have at least one year of recent acute‑care experience.

Responsibilities

• Administer to patients a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities.
• Maintain appropriate patient records and documentation.
• Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories.
• Evaluate equipment for proper and safe function.
• Report malfunctions to the director.
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples according to procedure guidelines.
• Interact with co‑workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize the continuum of care for patients being treated.
• Respond to emergent situations that may require respiratory support.
• Stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
• Easily lift 20 pounds; moving or lifting patients may require up to 50 pounds.
• Possess specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Requirements

• Minimum of one year of recent acute‑care experience (some references note three years).
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• PALS and NRP may be required depending on the assignment.
• NBRC certification and RRT credential.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning the assignment.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

Shift: 12 hours, nights; 36 hours per week.
