TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a 13‑week assignment in West Reading, Pennsylvania. The position is for a Pediatric Registered Respiratory Therapist (Peds‑RRT) with at least one year of recent acute‑care experience. The role involves providing direct patient care across a variety of clinical areas, including evaluations and treatments according to procedural guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Administer a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities to patients.
• Maintain appropriate patient records and documentation.
• Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories.
• Evaluate equipment for proper and safe function; report malfunctions to the director.
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples according to procedure guidelines.
• Collaborate with co‑workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize the continuum of care.
• Respond to emergent situations requiring respiratory support.
• Meet physical demands: stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty; lift 20 lb easily and up to 50 lb when moving or lifting patients.
• Possess specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent acute‑care experience (posting also notes 2 years in requirements list).
• NBRC‑RRT credential.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications.
• Additional certifications may be required before assignment start.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
